About Gilat Zamost

A native of the Bronx, New York, Gilat has always had a passion for fashion and a love for the unique treasures that can be found through consignment. She was drawn to the idea that beautiful, high-quality pieces should have a second life, and that women could enjoy designer fashion without paying the original retail price. 

In 2010, Gilat decided to turn her passion into a vision and opened My Best Friend’s Closet, Highland Park's first luxury consignment boutique. What began as a love for consignment and a desire to create a new kind of shopping experience, has grown into a beloved destination for women throughout the North Shore and across the country. 

Gilat has made Highland Park her home, where she lives with her husband, and raised her two sons. Deeply family and community oriented, she has always believed that a successful business is about more than what happens inside the store, it's about the people you meet, the relationships you build, and the community you become a part of. 

Over the years, My Best Friend’s Closet has become more than a place to shop or consign. It is a welcoming place where women can connect, socialize, and discover incredible fashion. Gilat's warm, personal approach is at the heart of the boutique, and she strives to make everyone who walks through the door feel like family.
