Item Conditions

To ensure the highest quality selection for our customers, items must meet the following criteria: 

  • In season upscale women's fashion including clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories
  • New in or excellent condition, ready to be displayed and sold
  • Purchased within the last two years
  • Cleaned and presented on hangers when applicable
  • No rips, holes, stains
  • Free of lint, pills, pulling, missing buttons or zippers and other signs of wear 

We carefully curate every item to maintain the quality and elevated shopping experience our customers expect.

Pricing

We carefully price each item to ensure a fair value for both the consigner and the buyer. Most of our merchandise is priced at approximately ½ to ⅓ of its original retail price, with pricing determined by the item's condition, brand, style and current demand. 

Consignors receive 40% of the selling price of each item. Depending on the item and its demand, consignors may earn up to 70% of the selling price. 

Our goal is to maximize the value of your wardrobe while  also offering our customers exceptional designer fashion at an accessible price.

Consignment Period

Items will be on display for 90 days. My Best Friend’s Closet reserves the right to mark down the items that have not been sold or for promotional purposes.  After the 90 day consignment period items that have not been sold will be donated to A Safe Place or YWCA Chicago unless otherwise specified.
