Gilat, a native of New York City, opened My Best Friend's Closet in 2010, the first designer consignment boutique in Highland Park, IL. She chose consignment because she wanted to help women in a new way; giving them the opportunity to buy high-priced clothing for a fraction of the original price. She has created a great environment for women to sell, shop, and socialize! She makes every customer more than just a customer; she makes them a friend.
